Although conditions were perfect this was an immensely frustrating session for me. Swear factor extremely high. Initially rigged 4.7m but was overpowered, changed down to 4.0m, but after a couple of runs it became clear the wind had dropped and I was underpowered. No matter what I tried I couldn't tune the sail. It was horribly twitchy and got knocked out of it's locked in zone so easily. Maybe I'll try it again with more wind, but very dissappointed. Worse still the current was taking me a long way downwind. High tide with a nasty dump I was lucky to return with all kit intact (although to be honest trashing the sail wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest) as I fell off 5 yardds from shore in front of a large wave. Walk of shame again to get back. Twice now in as many weeks. Unbeliveable! Stopped for pizza and beer on the way back and the world seemed alright again.
